Distinguished Guests, Esteemed International Faculties, and Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Asian Society for Poly-Endocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (APMOSS), it is an extraordinary honor and privilege to welcome you to Jakarta for the 1st Annual Congress of APMOSS 2027, organized in official collaboration with the Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (REI) Committee of AOFOG and proudly supported by the Indonesian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (POGI).
Poly-Endocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) represents the leading cause of anovulatory infertility and profound cardiometabolic morbidity throughout the Asia-Pacific region. For decades, our clinical approaches have predominantly mirrored Western diagnostic and therapeutic models. However, compelling clinical evidence consistently demonstrates that Asian women present with distinct pathophysiological phenotypes—characterized by pronounced visceral adiposity at normal or lower BMI cutoffs, prominent hyperinsulinemia, altered follicular dynamics, and an exceptionally elevated susceptibility to Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS).
From Metabolic Disruption to Reproductive Success: Precision Infertility Management and Advanced ART in PMOS
Confronting this unique reality requires a definitive paradigm shift. Under our congress theme, we gather not merely to exchange theoretical insights, but to standardize precision protocols, integrate actionable evidence, and deliver maternal-fetal safety across our region. Over the next two days, our master program bridges critical translational frontiers:
- 01Kisspeptin pathways
- 02Age-adjusted AMH nomograms
- 03Personalized gonadotropin stimulation
- 04Zero-OHSS trigger algorithms
- 05Biphasic CAPA-IVM
- 06Long-term metabolic surveillance
Crucially, this congress serves as the launchpad for regional clinical transformation:
Asian Clinical Consensus on Infertility & ART
Scientific rigor united through consensus voting at the congress.
Nation longitudinal Asian PMOS Registry
Closing healthcare disparities and safeguarding the long-term reproductive longevity of Asian women.
I express my heartfelt gratitude to the AOFOG REI Committee, POGI, our international faculty roster, and the organizing committee for their tireless dedication in bringing this vision to life. Most importantly, I thank each of you—our delegates, fellows, and researchers—whose engagement will define the future standard of PMOS care in Asia.
I wish you an inspiring, intellectually stimulating congress and a memorable stay in Jakarta.
Warmest regards,
Budi Wiweko
President, APMOSS · FKUI-RSCM
